I am a post-doctoral researcher at the Structural Genomics Consortium, located at the Goethe University, Frankfurt. I specialize in structural biology with experience in gene-to-structure workflow, crystallographic fragment screening, diffusion trapping time-resolved x-ray crystallography, ITC, MST, and CD. My primary interest lies in structure-based drug discovery and understanding the molecular level details of proteins that are implicated in various disorders and ailments. In my current position, I am providing structural biology support to multiple projects, trying to crystallize and determine the structures of proteins and their complexes with potential lead compounds. At the same time, I am also trying to answer questions related to the molecular mechanisms behind the functions of some of these proteins.
I also like to teach/train future scientists. I love to relate complex scientific concepts to real-world examples in order to communicate well with people with non-scientific backgrounds.
